Phoebe is a first year PhD researcher in Antarctic Glaciology at the Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge, specialising in Antarctic ice-shelf stability. Most recently, her research has focused on channelised basal-melt-induced fracture and the implications of this on the current stability of the Roi Baudouin Ice Shelf, East Antarctica.
As part of a SPRI research group, Phoebe’s research contributes towards work assessing the possible vulnerability of ice shelves in order to assist policy makers in discussions surrounding climate governance and in targeting appropriate climate change solutions.
She is committed to understanding the processes that are driving climate change and its impacts. She represents the University of Cambridge Rugby team and loves getting out into the wild.
